E. Danny Scott

d_scott.jpgBorn in Americus, Georgia, Danny Scott is a graduate of the University of South Carolina, where he received his bachelor of science in 1968 and a master of arts in Criminal Justice in 1976.  He received his law degree from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 1974 and was admitted to practice in South Carolina the same year.

From 1983-91, Mr. Scott served as a member of the South Carolina Juvenile Parole Board.  He has been a prosecutor for the City of West Columbia since 1984.  He has represented the Town of Springdale as town attorney since 1997 and the Town of Pineridge since 1999.  

Mr. Scott is a member of the Lexington County Bar Association, where he served as president in 1991, the South Carolina Bar and the American Bar Association.  He is also a member of the Palmetto Land Title Association.  Mr. Scott has served on the board of directors for the West Metro Chamber of Commerce since 1998 and is currently chairman of the board of Congaree State Bank.

Mr. Scott has been awarded the top AV rating by Martindale-Hubbell for "the highest ethical and professional standards."
